| so it's been a while since i've posted anything. things are going well. work is work, it's good and challenging. Just released a John Vanderslice record that we did a lot different marketing including a cool tour virtual tour of a bunch of blogs. Basically we did a 3 camera shoot of him and his band playing the entire record strait through and then each day a different song was posted on a different blog. To better understand you can go to www.barsuk.com and the splash page has all the links to the different sites. For those of you looking for new music and such you can spend many hours of each day looking on these sites. Great stuff is posted every day and one of my new favorites is An Aquarium Drunkard. Up next is an amazing soundtrack to a documentary about Kurt Cobain called Kurt Cobain: About a Son. It includes David Bowie, Mudhoney, Melvins, Iggy Pop, CCR, Leadbelly, and a ton of others. Basically is a run down of music that influenced Kurt and Nirvana. It's a really fun project, working with a film company and setting screenings plus working with big commercial radio to get them involved. Other than that I'm just hanging out enjoying Seattle and my girlfriend. Yes, I have a girlfriend. She's pretty amazing her name is Emily Cohen and i'm pretty sure i just figured out how to post photos. We'll see when i post this shit!

My sister just moved in downstairs with one of my best friends, Jenna Conrad. Some of you might have met her at Damien Jurado shows. She's the one playing cello and guitar.
Ok this might be the most I've ever typed in xanga, well except the times i was totally bitching about the state of the world or religion.
Two last things. I'm starting to manage a band called Battle Hymns. The record comes back from mastering in about 10 days and so stoked to really start working it. The second is a list of things that have really been rockin my world. The Besnard Lakes - The Besnard Lakes are the Dark Horse Kings of Leon - Because of the Times The National - Boxer Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Boatman's Call Robert Earl Keen - everything Tegan and Sara - The Con there are several others but I'll stop there | | |
| I love this new Richard Swift CD. The more I listen the more I love it. Hard at work. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather. I'm going to camp a lot. I've got to plan a couple long weekends in May or I'm going to loose those vacation days. The question is where am I going to go?

| I've been doing a lot over the last month. Went to Austin and it was great meeting Lindsey and seeing Brent. SXSW was the good, the bad and the ugly as always. I love it more and more every year. My sister moved here so I've been dealing with having a roommate again. I actually love it b/c it's great to have family around and I know this isn't permanent. I'll be back to walking around naked in about a month. She's found a job so i figure i'll give her a solid 4 weeks and then I'll start leaving the imprint of my boot on her ass. I"m confident she'll understand the use of violence. I'm really ready for summer. We don't have spring like back in Arkansas. Spring has officially started but it's still mostly rainy and chilly. In May or so it will finally break and we'll start our summer with no rain for about 3 months. This is the best time in the world. I can't wait. I've gotta buy some chairs for my porch! There will be lots of evenings with beer, dominos and some Kenny Rogers.
